Don Mann's Reference for Travis Overstreet II
From 1999 – 2006, I had the distinct pleasure of working closely with Travis Overstreet and his incredible team (The Dirty Dozen), that he trained, lead and managed. Odyssey Adventure Racing (OAR) produced more multi-sport / multi-day adventure races than any other company in North America and we maintained a stellar reputation for a number of reasons. The most significant of these reasons was a direct result of the hard work, imagination, expertise and contributions made by Travis Overstreet and team.

At every event OAR produced, Travis and the Dirty Dozen, created state of the art ropes courses that included long rappels, challenging ascends, and Tyrolean traverses. Every course was unique, challenging and most importantly safe. The athletes, staff and media were always so very impressed by the ropes-courses at the Odyssey events.

Travis always gave very clear and concise instruction to every athlete prior to their participation on his ropes-courses. His friendly and calming demeanor was instrumental in giving the athletes confidence that they had all of the information they required to successfully finish the courses safely.

Thanks to Travis and his team, Odyssey Adventure Racing may very well be the only adventure racing company in North America to have a 100% perfect safety record which is very impressive considering most of the athletes often arrived at the ropes-courses, cold, tired and worn-out from the previous race activities.

Travis is the consummate professional! As an adventure athlete and a retired Navy SEAL, who has trained and raced on ropes courses, all over the world, for over 40 years, without hesitation, I can say that I have never worked with anybody more professional or better at planning, constructing, teaching any subject dealing with climbing and ropes-courses.

I whole heartedly recommend Tavis Overstreet for any job related to climbing, ropes courses or any other outdoors adventure sport.
