Get on the water with your group plus one of our guides. We have all the gear you will need plus the knowledge to get you down river with smiles. Featuring locations on the Roanoke River(Downtown Roanoke), James River (Balcony Falls, Arcadia), New River (Pembroke to Ripplemead), and the Little River in Floyd.
Group Sizes: 3 to 5 Guests
Must follow safety rules. Lifejackets must be worn at all times.

Canoe and Kayak Beginner Classes
Our ultimate goal is to get you on and off the water safely. We start the first part of the day in a classroom setting and the second part of the day on the water. One & Two Day classes available.
-Boat designs and characteristics.
-Styles of lifejackets and helmets.
-Styles of paddles both single and double blade.
-Proper kit setups with first aid and safety in mind.
-Throw Ropes Class.
-Paddle strokes class off the water.
-How to read the water and terminology for describing water features and hazards.
-Navigating rapids.
-How to safely enter and exit your boat.
-How to wet exit (decked boats with skirt).
-Peeling in and out of current.
-Ferrying across current.
-One on one time with instructors.
Playboating Classes
Learn the essentials to advanced moves while getting your surf on. YOU WILL SWIM!!! YOU WILL HAVE FUN!!! This class if for those who are comfortable paddling class III whitewater. Ability to roll and or self rescue highly recommended.
-Learn basic boat control on a surf wave with forward and backward carving of watercraft.
-Side surfing hydraulics to spins both on side and off side.
-For decked boats learn throwing ends to aerial moves including loops.
-Learn rock spins and boofs.
-Classes are dynamic based upon group request and watercraft in class.
-Safety will be provided.
